My journey into this position was fueled by a love for innovation, problem-solving, and the desire to create impactful programs. The joy of creativity, coupled with a profound commitment to all students, motivates me daily. I see education as a platform for personal and collective growth, and I am dedicated to ensuring that Big Lake Schools provide diverse opportunities that help us meet all student needs.

Big Lake holds a special place in my heart, having been my lifelong home. The tight-knit community, coupled with unwavering support from colleagues and parents, creates an environment where contributions truly matter. The district's unique blend of a small-town feel and expansive opportunities reflects the essence of what makes Big Lake exceptional.

The leadership and vision for the future are one of the best parts of Big Lake Schools. The collaborative spirit and positivity among our team inspire me to come to work every day, contributing to a culture that values innovation and support.

I am proud of how we are making our online students feel connected to the Big Lake Schools family. By offering part-time online schedules, work based learning and apprenticeships, in-person K-5 activities, a dedicated online room in the high school, and promoting all of our school activities to our online students, we are helping to connect our students to the community and their schools while also meeting their needs.

Welcome to Big Lake Schools!

I am excited to join Big Lake as the new Middle School Assistant Principal and Big Lake Online K-8 Administrator. Throughout my career as a teacher, academic coach and administrator,  I've been entrusted with leadership roles which fueled my passion for supporting student achievement through collaborating with staff, families and students.

After focusing on my doctoral dissertation, I am now eagerly returning to an in-person environment, looking forward to the daily interactions and community spirit I missed. I'm impressed by the established programs at Big Lake and aim to support ongoing efforts to enhance student success both at the Middle School and Online. 

Although new to the district, I already feel welcomed and am enthusiastic about being part of a community with such an excellent reputation. I look forward to building relationships with staff, students, and families, and contributing to our positive learning environment.
